It had to take courage for Daniel Coker to stand up against racial discrimination in the Methodist Church. Perhaps Coker found courage in the words of Isaiah 43:1: “Do not fear for I will be with you.” What are you doing to challenge injustice wherever you see it? Others will be blessed when you take a stand.
Prayer: God, help me to challenge injustice wherever I see it. I know that you are with me, so I do not have to fear when I take a stand. In Jesus name, amen.
Call to Action: Stand up against injustice by identifying one area of injustice you want to address. Write the plan for how you will move forward on it by the end of Black History month.
