Am requesting prayer for my niece, Maia, who’s been hospitalized for the past three weeks as she awaits double bypass heart surgery now scheduled for Tuesday August 4. Maia is the daughter of my deceased only sister, Joan Walters. Both were members here…Maia was on the visual/audio ministry at Frederick Road, her mom’s (my sis) homegoing was at Marian Drive. After Maia relocated to Harford County, both her health and distance were factors in her inability to attend service, she used to watch Sunday mornings on WJZ before it ended. Her 54th birthday was just on July 22. She’s ‘still plugged in’ to NPBC when she can. Another side note: When she was a student at Wilberforce University, I, her aunt, Dorothy, would send cassette tapes of Bishop’s sermons to help encourage her. One of her professors, Dr. Tanya M, overheard Bishop’s sermons, inquired who is that and the rest is history! Dr. Moher mentored Maia, checking Bishop’s schedule to learn when was the revivalist at Rev. Charles Booth’s church in Columbus and would travel to hear Bishop. Very truly yours,
