We celebrate the fact that God has had our church serving and lifting his name for 110 years. From humble beginnings of a few persons meeting to organize, to nearly 7,000 members, the New Psalmist Baptist church has come a long way. I have shared as Pastor for the last 34 years. It was the 76th year when I took over. I found a church with a tradition and history of being worshipping and believing people. I came to a church that was ready to once again make a mark for the kingdom. We have sought to Empower Disciples. That is the mantra and mantle of this ministry. Along the way we can speak of brick and mortar projects, but our thrust has been to make strong disciples for the Lord who are capable of major Kingdom assignments. I have sought as your pastor to make sure your faith is equipped to strengthen you in every situation God places you and that you can do what He has assigned you in an exemplary way. We are not just called Christians, we are Christians and we seek to show that to the world.

On Sunday the 28th we will formally celebrate our 110th year. We are asking every member to give a special anniversary offering of $200. We have so much we are trying to do and this will help us tremendously. Finally, we are praying mightily for our project. So many lives are going to be changed when we make this move. I see young persons, families, and individuals of all ages coming to know Christ and the power of His name. This is what we are all about. Join me in prayer for the salvation of souls.
